The 10-day Morocco tour begins with your pick-up from Marrakech Airport. We’ll take a brief city tour before transferring you to your accommodation for the night in a Riad.
After breakfast, we head west to Essaouira. Along the way, we’ll stop to observe goats climbing Argan trees and enjoy stunning panoramic views. Once we arrive in Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, we’ll explore its fishing port, ancient ramparts adorned with cannons, and the charming old medina. Overnight stay in Essaouira.
Following breakfast, we return to Marrakech for a guided tour of its highlights. As one of Morocco’s imperial cities, you’ll visit the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, along with a stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Enjoy some free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, we’ll see the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle Garden before returning to your accommodation. You’ll have the opportunity to explore Jemaa El-Fna square at your leisure.
After an early breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll drive through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Expect stops along the way for stunning views, followed by a visit to the Kasbah of Telouat.
Next, we will visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable site has been featured in numerous films, including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as the TV series Game of Thrones. After our visit, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gateway to the Desert.” You’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll explore the Atlas Studio, famous for filming iconic movies, and visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Then, we’ll drive southeast to Amridil Kasbah, set amidst palm groves in Skoura, and continue to the Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival in May, where locals showcase their rose products.
Next, we’ll journey through Dades Valley, stopping to take in the breathtaking views of Dades Gorges. Continuing on, we’ll reach the stunning Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved impressive red cliffs through the mountains. You’ll have free time for lunch and the chance to wander through the gorges, soaking in the natural beauty.
In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a ride across the sandy dunes. We’ll pause to enjoy the magical sunset from a high dune before heading to the desert camp. Experience traditional Berber music and dancing around the campfire under a star-filled sky. Dinner and an overnight stay in the camp await you.
Start your day early to witness the stunning sunrise over the desert. After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you’ll return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. Today is dedicated to exploring the captivating Merzouga area, which boasts a variety of remarkable sites, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mining areas, fossil sites, and beautiful oases—perfect for outdoor activities.
Our adventure begins with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Next, we’ll meet local nomads in their handmade woven tents and learn about their way of life while sipping traditional Berber tea. Our journey continues to Khamlia village, where you’ll experience lively Gnaoua music and dance performances by residents from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You’ll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterward, we’ll take a stroll through a palm grove and drive a short distance to see Merzouga’s wild lake, also known as Flamingos Lake. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll depart the desert and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a vital trading center, renowned for its vibrant souk. After exploring the market, we’ll continue to Erfoud, where we’ll visit a fossilized marble workshop.
Next, we’ll drive along the Ziz River, stopping for a panoramic view of the valley. You’ll have free time for lunch in Midelt before continuing to the cedar forest, home to Barbary Macaques. Feel free to feed them as you wander through the forest.
Finally, we’ll visit Ifrane, known for its cool climate, snow, and charming alpine-style houses, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” We’ll then drop you off at your accommodation in Fes.
After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation to explore the city of Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and its cultural and religious hub.
We’ll begin the day at the Royal Palace gate, then head to the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entering through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), you’ll be accompanied by a local guide as we visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. We’ll also see the Quaraouin Mosque and University, recognized as the oldest university in the world.
After exploring the Medina, we’ll visit the Jewish Quarter, known as the Mellah, before heading to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. We’ll then return to your accommodation.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Meknes, the Ismaili capital and another imperial city. Here, we’ll visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. You’ll have free time for lunch before we continue to Volubilis, located 30 km from Meknes. This ancient Roman site, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its well-preserved ruins, beautiful mosaics, and ancient pillars.
After exploring the ruins, we’ll head north through Ouazzane to reach Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known as the Blue City, Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted buildings and charming alleyways. Enjoy an overnight stay at a hotel.
After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you’ll have some free time to wander through the enchanting blue alleyways of Chefchaouen. We’ll then drive through the Rif Mountains to Tangier Airport, marking the end of your 10-day tour of Morocco.
