Day by Day Itinerary
Pick-up from your hotel in Ouarzazate (7:30 AM). Drive east through the magnificent Skoura palm grove — the oasis of a thousand kasbahs. Continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for damask rose production in May). Stop in Boumalne Dades and explore the dramatic Dades gorges — famous for their extraordinary "monkey fingers" rock formations and Berber villages perched on canyon edges. Continue to Tinghir oasis — a spectacular green oasis surrounded by palmeries and the Jbel Saghro mountain range. Visit the breathtaking Todra Gorges — 300m high red rock walls carved by the Todra river, one of the most dramatic landscapes in Morocco. Walk through the canyon. Continue to Erfoud (fossilized marble workshops, optional visit) and Merzouga. Late afternoon sunset camel trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Traditional Moroccan dinner and live Gnawa music around the campfire. Overnight in the luxury Berber desert camp under a sky full of stars.
Rise before dawn for the magical Sahara sunrise — the sky transforms from deep purple to blazing orange over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Return on camels to Merzouga. Enjoy breakfast at camp. Optional morning activities: quad biking, 4×4 excursion to nomadic families, or visit to Khamlia village for Gnawa music. Visit Rissani souk (Alaouite dynasty birthplace, famous for its dates and traditional crafts — busy on Tues, Thurs & Sun). Drive back west through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate. Arrive by late afternoon (~5–6 PM). Drop-off at your hotel. Tour ends.
