Tour Overview
With two full nights in the Sahara instead of one, this five-day loop from Marrakech gives the desert room to work its magic. Beyond the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the route lingers in the Rose Valley and Skoura's ancient palmery before the Dades and Todra Gorges open onto Merzouga. Watch the dunes change colour at both sunset and sunrise, then wind home through the Draa Valley's kasbah-lined oases and back over the High Atlas to Marrakech.Tour Highlights

Day by Day Itinerary
Depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM. Cross the spectacular High Atlas mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass with breathtaking panoramic stops. Visit the legendary UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou — the most famous film location in Morocco (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones). Lunch in Ouarzazate — visit the Taourirt Kasbah and optional film studios. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, drive east through the spectacular palm grove of Skoura. Continue through the Valley of Roses — famous for its damask rose fields (harvested in May). Wind through the dramatic Dades gorges with their extraordinary rock formations. Stop for photos at the famous "monkey fingers" rock formation. Free time to explore the gorge on foot. Overnight in Boumalne Dades.

After breakfast, continue to Tinghir oasis — a stunning green oasis surrounded by palmeries. Visit the dramatic Todra Gorges (300m high red rock cliffs) — time to walk through the canyon and admire the rock climbers. Continue to Erfoud (known for its fossil workshops) and finally reach Merzouga. At sunset, mount your camels for the golden dune trek. Watch the most spectacular sunset you've ever seen from the top of a dune. Berber dinner, live Gnawa music, and overnight under the stars in the luxury desert camp.

A second sunrise in the Sahara. Head through Rissani and down the magnificent Draa Valley lined with thousands of date palms and ancient kasbahs. Overnight in Agdz.

After breakfast drive through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate. Optional stop at Ait Benhaddou for a second visit or more exploration. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass — stops for panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. Arrive in Marrakech by evening (approx. 7–8 PM). Drop-off at your accommodation. Tour ends.
