Drive north to Rabat, Morocco's royal capital. Explore the Kasbah of the Udayas (12th century fortified medina), the Chellah Necropolis (ancient Roman and Merinid ruins), Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the iconic Hassan Tower minaret. Afternoon stroll through Rabat's charming medina and modern ville nouvelle. Overnight in Rabat or Meknes.

Day 2
Meknes — Imperial City → Volubilis (UNESCO Roman Ruins)

Morning visit to Meknes — one of Morocco's four imperial cities, built in the 17th century by Sultan Moulay Ismail who modelled it on Versailles. See the monumental Bab Mansour gate (the largest in North Africa), the Moulay Ismail mausoleum, the vast Heri es-Souani royal granaries and stables, and the Place Hedime. Afternoon excursion to Volubilis — the best-preserved Roman site in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Marvel at 2,000-year-old mosaics, the triumphal Arch of Caracalla, and the panoramic views over the Zerhoun plain. Return to Meknes for the evening. Overnight in Meknes.
