Day by Day Itinerary
Early pick-up from your hotel in Tanger (7:00 AM). Drive south through the Rif Mountains to the magical Blue City of Chefchaouen — a quick stop to walk through the famous blue-painted medina alleys and the central plaza. Perfect for photos. Continue east through the Rif Mountains to the ancient imperial city of Fes. Evening guided walk through the Fes el-Bali medina — a taste of the world's largest car-free urban area. Overnight in Fes.
Depart Fes southward (7:00–8:00 AM). Pass through Ifrane ("Switzerland of Morocco") and the Azrou cedar forest — stop to see the Barbary macaques. Lunch in Midelt. Spectacular drive through the Ziz Gorges and the vast Ziz Valley palm grove. Arrive Merzouga in late afternoon. Sunset camel trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sky turn orange and purple over the Sahara. Traditional Berber dinner, live Gnawa music, and overnight in the luxury desert camp under a sky full of stars.
Rise before dawn for the magical Sahara sunrise — one of the most unforgettable experiences Morocco has to offer. Breakfast in the camp. Return on camels or 4×4 to Merzouga. Visit Rissani souk (historic capital of the Tafilalet, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty). Continue your journey to Fes (~5h), Marrakech (~8h), or your chosen next destination. Drop-off at your accommodation. Tour ends.
